Every winter ski holidaymakers are especially concerned about the question: where to find good skiing and the best snow conditions? The answer is easy: at Pitztal, the roof of Tyrol – due to its high altitude it is one of only a few holiday destinations in the Alpine region that is truly guaranteed to have snow.

With pistes for all levels of ability, the Pitztal Glacier is considered one of the most snow-sure and at the same time most demanding glacier ski areas. At the glacier the new winter season can particularly be started early in the year.

From September onwards, you can start skiing and snowboarding in natural snow.

Wildspitzbahn & Café 3.440

Austria's highest cable car, the Wildspitzbahn, takes you over the eternal ice to Café 3.440 on the top of Tyrol in just a few minutes: Tyrol's highest box seat is an architectural masterpiece at 3.440 m above sea level, nestling against the mountain ridge like a snow cornice at the ridge of the rear Brunnenkogel. As a futuristic, small room, the building sits enthroned amidst the mighty peaks of the surrounding 3,000-metre peaks and, through its room opening to the south-west, provides an insight, view, a vision of the mighty glacier world of the Ötztal Alps.

One Skipass - Six Ski Areas

One skipass, six ski areas in Tirol, more than one hundred and twenty slope kilometers and free skibus shuttles (within Pitztal) connecting the single ski regions.The Glacier Park Card Winter is a common skipass valid in the popular Tirolean ski areas of Pitztal Glacier, Rifflseebahn, Hochzeiger, Imster Bergbahnen, Kaunertal Glacier and Winterberg Fendels.
